Please read these Terms carefully before using Five Star Defense. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Two points deserve your attention before anything else: we cannot guarantee that Google will remove any review (Section 6), and the service is provided as is (Section 12).
Five Star Defense is a software-as-a-service platform that manages Google reviews for automotive dealerships. The service retrieves reviews from your Google Business Profile, generates draft replies for your approval, publishes approved replies, analyzes reviews against Google's published removal policies, and prepares dispute submissions for reviews that appear to violate those policies. The service is operated by Five Star Defense and accessible at fivestardefense.ai.
To use Five Star Defense, you must be a licensed automotive dealership, dealer group, or an authorized representative of one. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
Five Star Defense is month to month. There are no long-term contracts and no minimum term. Subscription fees are based on the number of rooftops on your account.
No setup fees. We do not charge setup fees, onboarding fees, implementation fees, or any other one-time charge. Your first subscription payment is the only payment required to get started.
By subscribing, you agree to:
Rooftop changes. If you add rooftops mid-cycle, the additional fee is prorated for the remainder of that cycle. If you remove rooftops, the reduced rate applies from your next billing cycle forward.
Price changes. We may modify pricing with 30 days advance written notice by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Failed payments. If a payment fails we will notify you by email. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, we may suspend access to your account until payment is received.
You may cancel at any time with 30 days written notice sent to [email protected]. Your access continues through the end of that 30-day notice period, and you are billed for it. No cancellation fee applies.
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid. On termination, we stop retrieving reviews and stop publishing replies. Replies already published to Google and disputes already submitted remain as they are — see Section 6.
The service requires your authorization to access the Google Business Profile locations you connect. You grant that access during onboarding and may revoke it at any time through your Google account or by removing us as a manager on your profile.

We cannot guarantee that Google will remove any specific review, or any review at all.
Google alone decides whether a review is removed. We have no authority over that decision, no special access to it, and no ability to appeal it on any basis other than the one available to any member of the public. We make no representation, warranty, or promise about the outcome of any dispute, the number of reviews that will be removed, the time a decision will take, or the effect on your star rating.
What we do provide is the work that goes into the submission: identifying reviews that appear to violate Google's published removal policies, determining the applicable violation category, assembling supporting evidence, and filing the report. That is the entire scope of the dispute service.

Any statistics, case examples, or results shown on our website or in our materials are illustrative of past work and are not a prediction or guarantee of results for your dealership.
Five Star Defense uses artificial intelligence, including Anthropic's Claude API, to generate reply drafts and analyze reviews. You acknowledge and agree that:
You agree to use Five Star Defense only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
Directing us to file a dispute against a review you know to be from a genuine customer is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate termination.
The Five Star Defense platform, including its software, design, and methodology, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for your dealership operations during your active subscription.
Reply content generated for your dealership and published to your profile is yours. We retain no ownership over it.
Your use of Five Star Defense is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the platform, you consent to the collection and use of data as described there.
We may suspend or terminate your account for:
Upon termination, your access ceases and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
FIVE STAR DEFENSE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, THAT REVIEWS WILL BE RETRIEVED OR REPLIES PUBLISHED WITHIN ANY PARTICULAR TIME, OR THAT ANY DISPUTE WILL RESULT IN THE REMOVAL OF ANY REVIEW.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FIVE STAR DEFENSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REPUTATION, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
WE ARE EXPRESSLY NOT LIABLE FOR: (A) GOOGLE'S DECISION TO REMOVE, NOT REMOVE, OR REINSTATE ANY REVIEW; (B) ANY CHANGE IN YOUR STAR RATING OR SEARCH VISIBILITY; (C) THE CONTENT OF ANY REPLY YOU APPROVED FOR PUBLICATION; (D) ANY ACTION GOOGLE TAKES AGAINST YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE, INCLUDING SUSPENSION; (E) CHANGES TO GOOGLE'S APIS, POLICIES, OR ENFORCEMENT PRACTICES; OR (F) ANY RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT WITHOUT INDEPENDENT REVIEW.
Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Five Star Defense in the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Five Star Defense and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, the content of replies you approved, disputes filed at your direction, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
